Dear DNA Technologies Core users,
We hope the New Year is treating you well.
The DNA Tech Core is improving our ability to track samples
electronically and we need your help. Submission sheets have been
revised and are now specific to the sequencing platform – MiSeq, HiSeq,
or PacBio.
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) has revolutionized the way that we address complex biological questions. As sequencing output rapidly increases and experimental scales get bigger, library preparation becomes one of the major bottlenecks for NGS. This course provides a comprehensive hands-on training on how to prepare high quality libraries for Illumina HiSeq2500 and MiSeq sequencing platforms. Participants are encouraged to bring their own total RNA template and, by the end of the course, will have a library ready for NGS sequencing.
Pacific Biosciences Field Applications Scientist Nicole Rapicavoli will be answering questions and assisting with the design of experiments every third Tuesday of the month, starting August 19th from 1 to 4 pm. Please stop by at the DNA Technologies Core (room 1410, Genome Center - GBSF).
