Reducing Sequencing Costs with the PacBio SPRQ-Nx chemistry

The DNA Technologies Core is introducing the PacBio SPRQ-Nx chemistry. The new chemistry significantly reduces the long-read sequencing costs.  SPRQ-Nx enables for the first time the (limited) re-use of PacBio flowcells (named SMRT-cells). After a run, the library molecules are completely stripped from the SPRQ-Nx SMRT-cells and the surface undergoes multiple washes before the SMRT-cell can be reloaded with a new library. All PacBio libraries will be individually barcode-indexed to rule out any potential for cross-contamination.

Xenium spatial biology platform launch Lunch & Learn

Join us to celebrate the launch of the 10x Genomics Xenium platform at the UC Davis Genome Center!

Learn about the Xenium In Situ platform, how  researchers are using it to generate new insights, and get started with your own projects on campus.  Attendees will also have the chance to win a free Xenium reagent kit, valued at $15,000

Important Update: Changes to Sequencing Data Delivery

Background

The web application that has been responsible for much of sequencing data delivery, SLIMS, will be retired on May 30, 2025.  The DNA Technologies Core will be moving to a single data delivery tool, Bioshare, for all types of sequencing data.
